About
Hi I’m Dave Sander and I’m a Wedding Photographer.
Do you know, it’s taken me two decades to be able to say that, because I used to be a Radio Broadcaster and although I always had a camera in one hand, it was what I said in the microphone that seemed to draw the most attention.
I loved Radio. I was fortunate to have worked for some of the most successful radio stations in the UK and I felt extremely privilaged to be invited into thousands of peoples lives each morning. I love a good story and always enjoyed sharing my life stories with my listeners and relaying their stories via email, phone and text.
I formed 1 Click Photography in 2005 with the same motivation I had for my Radio shows. To share a story. Your story of your wedding day. Not only that, but to do it in the best way I can, using powerful, emotive images. Photographing your wedding day is a tremendous privilage. I love how it makes you feel when you look at it many years from now. I love how it captures a special moment and how it’s passed on to the next generation and I love the challenge of making you look and feel your absolute best on this most special of days.
Stories inspire me and I hope when you see some of the pictures from other peoples wedding stories on this site, you’ll be inspired like I’ve been.
I loved Radio, I love photography.

More About Me…
- A 60s child though only my brother was old enough to remember The Beatles.
- Born in London. Exiled in West Yorkshire 8 years ago.
- Married to Kirsty, two amazing kids. (All parents say that but mine really are)
- Wedding was at Leeds Town Hall and the Reception was at The Radisson. (I lived in a wharehouse apartment just down the road at the time and The Rad was where I met my wife.)
- We now live in a wood, with horses, cows, sheep and the River Aire cutting through the centre. I pinch myself everytime I drive through it. (Hey I’m a townie. This is still new to me)
- First camera was an instamatic, then a Pentax Spotmatic, then Olympus OM1, OM2 (best camera ever made), Hasleblad 500C at University with a variety of lenses, Mamiya 7 (wonderful travel camera), Bronica ETRS (I still use every now and then) and then it was Nikon all the way from the FM, FE, F3, through the truly terrible F65 (really plasticky) to the D70 (an amazing entry level Digicam) and D3s I use today…… Oh, and I don’t consider myself a camera geek at all.
- I used to be a big Hi-Fi geek. My house was floor to ceiling Naim and Linn gear. (before Linn decided it could build Amps)
- I was also a massive album buyer. (Actually most were record company freebies) At one point I owned well over ten thousand vinyl albums all indexed in Alphabetical order. How I ever had the time, I’ll never know…
- Started vegetarianism 25 years ago for a £5 bet. I’m still veggie yet hanker after a full Heston Blumenthal experience.
- I once stepped over half a dozen dozing crocodiles in Gambia because my guide told me that they were sacred and didn’t eat Human. (one of them woke up and ran off at a zillion miles an hour, bringing me back to planet reality double quick)
- Favourite Country – South Africa.
